Qwerpline
Qwerpline is a podcast from LoadingReadyRun recorded primarily by Graham, Alex, Kathleen, Beej, and Ian. It's "scriptovised" - first improvised by the actors, then later refined and edited. The podcast consists of a fictional morning radio show on the station QWRP FM, broadcasting from scenic Nsburg. The show is hosted by Graham ("Big G-Money") and Alex ("A-Train"), along with Derek the Intern (Beej), traffic reporter Richter Hammockslam (Ian), arts reporter Edith Slump (Kathleen), plus a broad slate of guests and local personalities. Art for Qwerpline is often provided by Featherweight.
A typical episode of Qwerpline contains segments on local news, local traffic (with Richter Hammockslam), a live on-location interview from Derek the Intern, plus one other segment. Other recurring segments include the weather, sports, arts, and the occasional caller who somehow manages to get through. Each episode begins and ends with a sponsor message.
History
According to LRRcast - AskLRR February 2016, Qwerpline is the fusion of Graham's QWOPline and Alex's Derpline, both of which were fake radio shows invented during Desert Bus. Alex put on a radio show in Desert Bus 5 entitled Derpline, the birthplace of the "A-Train" persona, where he did mock interviews with other members of the crew. For years after DB5 fans and callers continued to request Derpline, which led Graham during one of his shifts to put on QWOPline, a morning show equivalent of Derpline. One year later, both DJs joined forces and created the first ever episode of Qwerpline.

During Desert Bus 5 (2011) Alex hosted 4 DerpLine's each on increasingly impossible FM stations (because the show kept getting cancelled).
During Desert Bus 6 (2012) Alex would start off with a DerpLine during James' driving shift. Followed by Graham doing 2 QWOPlines during his driving shift (named after the game that broke him during DB5 (QWOP)), the later of which was a morning show. Alex would then host a 2nd DerpLine during his driving shift. Finally Graham would host a 3rd QWOPline during Jer's driving shift.
During Desert Bus 7 (2013) Alex would again start off with a DerpLine during his driving shift. Followed by the first ever QWERPline (a name instantly suggested by numerous chat members as the logical combination of QWOP and Derp) during Ashton's driving shift. Finally Kathleen and Alex would host a cat-themed radio show called Fe-line during Matt's driving shift.
During Desert Bus 8 (2014) Alex would once more start off with a DerpLine during Beej's driving shift. Next Skeletor(Ian Horner) would host Skeletor's Boneyard call-in show during Tally's driving shift. Finally, the second ever QWERPline would combine bits from the previous 2 during Cam's driving shift. After which it would be decided that they should do QWERPline "for real" and the first "canon" episode would premier the following October.
Each following Desert Bus (except for 2021 (DB15) and 2022 (DB16) because of the pandemic) would host 1 QWERPline each, but the other shows would never return.
The biggest influences to Qwerpline predate the internet and are most notably: Firesign Theater, Proctor and Bergman, Cheech and Chong, Round the Horne and The Goon Show. Due to its success Qwerpline has been favorably compared to Welcome to Nightvale but the LRR crew considers Welcome to Nightvale more as a similarly structured variety show than an inspiration as they had little prior exposure to it. The similarities between both shows are coincidental and comparisons arise as a consequence of both shows being the only ones of their kind rather than the shows being more directly related.
