Synopsis
The crew plans to draft at the Stark Manor, but Alex accidentally grabbed the crew's box of random tokens and lands instead of the draft boosters. However, it's pouring outside, and James' car won't start. The power then dies, depriving the crew of their phones and laptops.
Out of boredom, Cam suggests a new format, of sorts: shuffle together a set of tokens and lands. The creatures cast for CMC equal to their toughness, with one of the mana used being the same color as the creature. After a few candlelit rounds, Paul suggests that they use the insert cards often found in boosters for flavor by using the mechanics of the set advertised on the cards - for example, Cam and James play a game under "Magic 2012" rules, giving every creature a random Bloodthirst number determined by a d20.
Paul successfully Junds Alex out, largely because Alex only draws goats.
Trivia
- Production error: During the scene where Graham celebrates upon opening Elspeth, the shot changes in the middle of Graham's sentence, with a noticeable disconnect in speech between takes.
