Synopsis
Too much Desert Bus has a negative impact on LoadingReadyRun. Or does it?
Trivia
- The crew originally planned for the third installment of commodoreHUSTLE to go up sometime during this week. However, due to shooting delays and the overwhelming success of Desert Bus 2, commodoreHUSTLE was delayed until the next week and this was conceived on Friday night, shot all day Saturday and went up early Sunday morning making it the latest LoadingReadyRun update and keeping the update-once-a-week record intact.
- The horn-rimmed glasses everyone wears are Real3D glasses with the polarizing lenses removed.
Joke References
- In the opening exchange, Jer, James and Paul act out the usual way in which donations were accepted for antics (songs, etc) during Desert Bus.
- "Kroze" is a minor internet celebrity due to his involvement with Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series. He stepped in to moderate the desert bus IRC channel during the event.
- The cast wear Real3D glasses with the lenticular lenses removed. These resembled the distinctive thick-framed glasses worn by Buggles member Trevor Horn.
- LoadingReadyRun had announced over the live feed DriverCam that the week's update would be the latest CommodoreHUSTLE installment, but that it was delayed because of extensive editing and Desert Bus. Hence, "stopped us doing what we do."
- "For the children," was a phrase repeated often throughout the event, especially after viewers donated to have Morgan finish every sentence this way for a period of time.
- After poking fun at the new movie "Twilight," money was donated to have Matt go and see the movie and give a review. Unbeknownst to him, the crew then accepted several more donations to have Matt attend Twilight more times.
- Jer's plush duck appeared in Bandwidth Exceeded and donations were accepted to name the duck; Rosco P. Jangles IV.
- LRR attempted to keep the live DriverCam feed PG13, avoiding profanity by replacing it with "swear."
- In the game Desert Bus, the bus veers right requiring drivers to steer left.
- The whiteboard Paul refers to when singing, "Have you seen what our donations are?" reads "Oh Snap!" under the total. During Desert Bus, this board pictured a flow chart for, "Did someone get told? If yes -> Oh snap!"
- The BusCam, fed through a faulty VCR, went down several times.
